History repeats itself, says the common saying, and so does fashion.

According to styling agencies, trends come back to life every two decades, so that people have the time to forget the horrors they used to wear and start loving them again.

At the moment, the aesthetics of the nineties is back in force, as boyfriend jeans, hoodies, trainers, Birks and socks, and body tatoos seem to multiply from Brooklyn to Paris.

And even if my fashion memories from that period are very vague, I remember trying to emulate the cool kids from my school, at which i failed miserably ! My mother, however, has quite the collection of my shameful moments to tell, as my early teenage years were not that graceful fashion-wise...

The Air Max, for instance, is a great example of an item I begged my mother to buy, and swore I'd never wear again, as pictures of me in baggy pants, a crop top and these trainers resurfaced.

But of course, as the trend of running shoes rised recently, I knew I wanted the Air Max again. No more baggy pants or hoodies, I love wearing them with shorts, skirts and other feminine dresses, everything my teenage self would hate !

---------------
