Skirt : Zara
Shoes : Zara (on sale !)
Necklace : Zara
Tee : &otherstories
Bag : Céline

I have been asked to describe my times a lot of times, and in all honesty, I never know what to answer. What I do know, is that a girly girl I am not.

I have never liked pink, I hate doing my hair, and Valentines day is my nightmare.
But when I saw this cute Zara skirt, I knew I wanted to buy it (along with the jacket, I am going for the skirt suit trend this coming Fall).

Feeling more feminine than usual when I styled it, I decided to add a bright pink necklace, and pointy ballet flats, also both from Zara .

Aaah, Zara, Zara, Zara… We’ve heard everything about the Spanish brand, and, yes, we know they have a tendency to copy high fashion houses even before the collections hit the runway, but what would we all do without it ?

I have to say I wasn’t always their biggest fan… Somehow, I never found anything that fit me and my style perfectly. But you don’t go to Zara to buy long-lasting and perfect clothes or accessories, you go there because they offer fast fashion at an affordable price, sometimes of a much better quality than some brands more expensive and famous…

And this is exactly what I need to inject some fun into my
basic wardrobe… I know I’ll eventually grow tired of this skirt, but for now, it’s just perfect when I feel like ‘dolling up’. It won’t happen that often, but thankfully I’ll always have Zara to allow me to spice up my style without going broke !

---------------

  21. Caroline, by no means do I mean to be disrespectuful but, you are girlie! I've been scrolling & scrolling through your postings and nowhere have I seen an air of masculinity or severe tomboy. As a girl who lives, works, breathes NYC, girlie girl isn't aways represented by pink. (though I know most will disagree). I work in finance and most females wear black. Heck, most of NY wears black. It's more about a persons essence. Should you decided to post a picture of yourself in a pink dress one day, I hope to see it styled with a moto jacket or boots. lol.

As for Zara, I couldn't agree more. I love that they're fast fashion. But even more so, I love that their clothing is made long enough for my 5feet 11inches frame. To date, I've never been able to walk out of the without purchasing something. (sorry for the long comment)

    1. Hi Soshana, don't worry, no offence taken, but I don't find myself girlie (nor tomboy for that matter !) Feminine definitely, but I would say classic with a twist (which isn't girlie at all for me !)... And I agree, black can be very feminine and/or girlie :)
