Shorts : Oneteaspoon (get them here)
Bag : Givenchy Antigona (similar here)
Boots : Chloé Susanna (here)

I am literally obsessed with Zara recently… There was a time when I didn’t own a thing from them (and I mean it, not one single item). But oh boy, that was a long time ago.
Nowadays, their collections are better every year, with couture influences (Louis Vuitton or Balenciaga to name a few), and a real fashion identity, which I believe is quite new.

I used to think that Zara only copied brands, sometimes even before the collections hit the runway (they were even sued by Louboutin, Sandro, etc.), and when you wore something from them, everybody knew you didn’t buy the original, but a cheap copy (don’t get me wrong, I think it’s great for us to be able to wear designer inspired clothes, but if it’s a blatant copy of an original creation, then I just don’t get it).

But for two years or so now, they have developed their own aesthetics, I’d even say their own style, and it has become oh so chic to wear Zara ! Of course, it helps that their lookbook stylist is Marie-Amélie Sauvé, who has worked with Nicolas Ghesquière for years, and is known for her impeccable style and work (check out her work, it’s amazing !)

So Zara is my go-to place for clothes now, and if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know I bought four coats, one in white fake fur, one in camel, a leopard short coat and a pale pink one, a pair of python heels I am obsessed with, one pair of boyfriend jeans, a cute white top, and this green tweed jacket.

I really love this one, as its color is so elegant and wearable, the tweed is perfect to mix with more casual pants, and the golden button adds that little bit of chic.

I am wearing my Oneteaspoon denim shorts, which are perfect both for summer and the beginning of Fall, when it’s cool to wear them with a big knit (or in this case, a chic jacket), and boots.

Are you also obsessed with Zara, or is another one of my fashion problems ?

---------------

  11. Fantastic single button jacket. Love it. Much like yourself, I like pairing this type of jacket with really casual pieces. However, I would pair it with a dress/skirt/pant for work as well. It's so versatile.

  18. You seriously always have the best accessories! I love Zara too but I try not to buy too much from there cause everyone else has the same stuff! But sometimes their pieces are hard to resist.. I agree, their quality and aesthetic has seriously improved over the past few years. That's an awesome jacket, and love the effortless look of course! (those boots, swoon)

    1. Thank you my dear ! As for Zara, I think that when you choose carefully what you're buying, you won't end up with the same thing everybody is wearing ! Try the online shop, there are some items that are not in stores, therefore less chance to see them on the streets :)

  23. Nope, I am obsessed with Zara too. I think the key thing about them as a store is that they cater to so many different tastes and styles. There is literally no age group left uncatered for, whether you are just searching for smart office wear or the cheaper way to channel what you've seen on the catwalk. I always have a huge wish list, and I'm a sucker for their shoes and coats!
