Capes are everywhere this season, from Chloé to Valentino. I have always loved them, because they might not be the most comfortable to wear if you are very busy, but they look so dramatic and a bit over-the-top, and can easily be dressed up or down.

I remember the pic of one of my favorite bloggers, Camille over the rainbow during fashion week last September, where she was wearing a wonderful camel cape from H&M, Jimmy Choo flats and that Chloé Drew bag (that I'll have one day !!). Her cape was more wearable that what you usually see on the runway, and I had been on the hunt ever since to try to find a similar one.

As always, I found the holy graal at Zara (honestly, what would I/we do without Zara ?!). Not gonna lie though, of course they are heavily inspired by other brands' designs, but when you just can't invest in a Chloé coat (seriously, how amazing would that be ?), Zara (or Topshop/H&M/River Island...) is the way to go.

And I'm quite pleased with this new addition : cream and black, a tad oversized, chic but very casual at the same time, it goes perfectly with clothes that are a bit edgier, such as these faux leather Zara pants, and my new ah-mazing Zara pointy boots that was one of myChristmas presents (remember ?) Unfortunately, the Valentino were too big for my super small feet, so I am waiting for a new pair (hopefully it won't take too long...).

I just realized I'm almost in head to toe Zara... To elevate the look, I added my orange Hermès gloves, that are actually perfect paired with high street pieces, for a high/low mix.

If you want to invest in a cape (and you can't afford Chloé either), I'd suggest you take a look at those : here and here. Make sure you always wear something tight with it, such as leather pants, tight leather skirt or skinny jeans, so that the proportions are right !
