Let's start with a little confession : I used to hate having my picture taken. Honestly, until recently (that is to say, until I started my Instagram), I was the one always looking so uncomfortable on all the pics, and I didn't have that many of me, because I really couldn't see the point of having your picture taken regularly.

Smiling awkwardly, posing weirdly, how could anyone (including me ?) could have ever imagined I'd become a blogger one day ?

But here I am, writing my daily blog post, and I can't help but feel a little proud to have overcome my shyness to share parts of my life with you.

From time to time, I still wonder if this is really my thing, because there's a part of narcissism in the blogging community that makes me quite uncomfortable at times. Of course, taking selfies everyday for Instagram means I am just like everyone else, but I wouldn't do it if this wasn't for my love for fashion.

Having worked as a med student for four years, I have witnessed what misery really was. I have witnessed death, happiness in its purest form (the birth of a child), chronic diseases, depression... And even though I know I wasn't meant to be a doctor, life is more than just about fashion and clothes.

But blogs are also here to provide an escape and some inspiration, and I needed that when I started PMO. So I learned how to be more comfortable in pictures, more at ease, and I think I have definitely improved compared to six months ago, don't you think ? Playing with lights, smiling, showing the 'real' me, I simply love that now, and I hope you notice it as well !

---------------

Ayant travaillé quatre ans comme externe en médecine, j'ai été témoin d'une véritable misère humaine. J'ai été témoin de la mort, de la joie intense aussi (lors d'accouchements), de maladies chroniques, de dépression... Et même si je sais que je n'étais finalement pas destinée à devenir médecin, la vie ne s'arrête pas qu'à la mode et aux fringues;

  6. I can't get over your shoes! They are amazing and you look relaxed and comfortable in the pictures :) I know what you mean about witnessing misery...Sometimes I wander if it's appropriate for me to turn up at court, all decked out in expensive clothes, which is such a stark contrast to victims I have to cross-examin...But as you say, fashion offers a way to escape and my husband often laughs that in one sentence I can say "And I said to the judge..." and "I did a post about coats and you should see the shoes that went with it!"
