What makes a good photoshoot ? You would think that a) wearing your favorite colors, aka grey, white and black, b) sporting your new fun accessory (those ROCeyewear sunglasses) and an old one you still deeply love (this Maison Michel fedora), c) mixing leather and an oversized knit, and d) shooting in front of the Eiffel Tower, are enough to spend a very good time.

But as I've come to realize, things never go as planned when you're a fashion blogger... At first, everything was going smoothly, until, from God knows where, dozens of tourists arrived. Have you ever tried to explain what a fashion blog is to foreigners who don't give a sh... about it ? And why having parked cars in the street and children running behind you are not an option ? Well, I have, and let me tell you right away : don't even bother, just wait !

When the street was quiet again, we thought we could give it another try, but suddenly three women trying to get our signatures (if you ever come to Paris, beware and never sign anything !) were around us, probably thinking we were tourists as well. Things almost got violent (and I'm not even kidding !).

After almost half an hour, super frustrated, we've eventually been able to get some not-so-bad pictures. That's probably why other Parisian fashion bloggers never go to touristic places, and prefer more quiet and discreet ones...

I thought I'd share this little story with you, because before I had my blog, I never imagined that despite what pictures may suggest, things are not always perfect for fashionistas, and it's hard work looking nonchalant, as if a photographer just happened to wait for you when you got out of your building (yeah, right...) !

---------------

  9. God I can totally feel you! It's sometimes really stressful to get some good images at touristy spots. But you both mastered it well and you look nonchalant as usual from head to toe! And your sunnies are so cool!

  16. In answer to your previous post, if you think it would make you truly happy you should go for it! especially if you're not happy the way you are at the moment, you definitely have what it takes in my eyes.. Also I'm liking the cool new sunglasses, you still managed to pull off the nonchalant appearance with ease!
