Red, white and blue... As you may know, yesterday was France's National Day (also called Bastille Day), and well, this post was planned as a nod to my country, and obviously, I should have posted it yesterday. But, shame on me, I've been super lazy (it's happening quite often these days it seems...), and at noon, when I realized I had not written a word yet, I decided to deal with non blog related things.

But I felt like such a bad blogger afterwards, because I've noticed that while French bloggers don't celebrate all the big occasions, other bloggers never miss a chance to make a post about the 4th of July, Halloween, Christmas, their birthday, and so on. I think it's great to create such content all the time, I admire these girls so much as I'm definitely not one of them.

I've also noticed that most of them get help to manage their businesses : whether it's a boyfriend-slash-photographer-slash-manager, an agent, an intern, an assistant, they all seem to have an entire team behind them, while it's just me, me, me, and well, my photographer :)

Maybe one day I'll decide it's time to grow my 'company', but for now, I feel quite good managing everything on my own, even if that means I don't always post what I had planned.

But I digress : I just wanted to celebrate my country, which I never do and that's a shame because I love France, and while I know us French people looove complaining about everything, we are lucky to live in such a great country, and yesterday was a perfect reminder of that.

And last but not least, have you noticed that I'm wearing the 'French girl uniform' today ? Boyfriend jeans, striped oversized shirtpointy pumps and Chanel bag... Perfect for the occasion don't you think ?

Bleu, blanc, rouge...

  9. Love this outfits.. very French patriotic! Love the red heels especially! :)

And yes... it's quite an effort to do regular blogging when you're by yourself and/or sometimes with someone that volunteers. I'm lucky I have a couple of friends.. but I always feel bad if I have to bug them for a photo-shoot. Fortunately, they love to do it when they have time. :)
