My London fashion week diary… As I previously told you, the trip was not planned at all, it was a last minute decision, but all the running around and phone calls to find a place to stay were so worth it.

In fact, I was supposed to do all four Fashion Weeks, but it’s been impossible : I have been meaning to talk to you about what the new year will be like for me. The thing is, I really, really wanted to take a year off my dental studies, so that I could focus on my blog and all the upcoming projects, but after carefully thinking about it all summer, I decided to continue studying dentistry, as I only have one (very tough) year left, then I will be able to be an almost full time blogger.

Basically, what will it mean for me and Pardon My Obsession ? I am mentally preparing myself to spend every minute of everyday working, seeing patients, studying… But I also refuse to take a break from blogging, as it brings me so much joy and excitement. This past year has been one of the best of my life, and I just can’t imagine myself without PMO.

It will be hard, but I’m confident I can do and have it all. And isn’t what feminism is all about ? Working hard for a life you dream of and not counting on anyone else but yourself.

I hope you’ll follow me this year, I promise I’ll post even more on Instagram, Snapchat and the blog, I’ll try to accept every opportunity that comes along, and I’ll tell you all about how to manage a job and a blog.

Well, let’s talk about London a little bit : I arrived Friday night, stayed at a friend’s house, and enjoyed every minute of it. The shows I had the chance to attend were truly amazing, I saw lots of friends, went to Sketch for drinks Saturday night (absolutely adore this place !), and we’ve been blessed with a uncharacteristically weather.

This outfit was shot at the Apartment, and this is the one I wore for the Topshop show. It’s actually a skirt and a top, both from Sea NY, a fluid trench coat, bicolor heels and a cute Furla bag.

I love the soft colors, and I went for a very ladylike look (see ? I was not lying yesterday when I told you I wanted to feel more chic and put together lately).

So tell me, what do you think of my decision ?

  3. Your blog has exploded during the past year so I'm very surprised you decided to continue studying. You would make an amazing full-time blogger! Loved your outfit for LFW and I truly hope to see you next season!

  6. do not really comment on blogs I follow, but this is an exception to tell you that I believe you took the right decision in pursuing your studies! It is really brave of you! Fashion comes and goes like fashions, but I know a lot of fashionable dentists out there :-)

  7. The cream colors in this outfit compliment the dark nails so well! I admire your decision to continue your studies, because that hard work will pay off!

  8. I think you made a great decision to finish your studies!! As a blogger myself that works in science full-time and blogs, my advice would be to remember that blogging is supposed to be a fun hobby and that if you feel yourself stressing out, just take a deep breath and remember it is just a hobby. I've stressed out before about posting a lot, but quality over quantity is really what matters.

Jealous that you are in London, I love it so much, wish I could have gone to some fashion weeks abroad but I just have to settle for the Toronto one. I will definitely continue to follow you throughout this year, I think it is a good idea to just get school over and done with, even if you won't be able to post as often this year, I'm sure everyone will understand !

  13. Superbe tenue!
