As I’m writing this post from the Eurostar, I can’t help but already feel a little nostalgic. This 4 day trip has been amazing, and I don’t really want to get back to normal. Yet I have plenty of things to tell and show you !
Of course, it was Fashion Week, so I attended shows and parties, but I still managed to enjoy London to its fullest, by walking, shopping, taking pictures, seeing some friends…
London is one of my favorite cities, and I’ve been thinking quite a lot lately about living here in the near future. Of course I’d miss Paris, but there is so much energy here, so many cool people, that I feel like it’s easier to make your dreams come true. Yes, the weather is not the best, but all the architecture, beautiful white buildings, gardens, coffee shops, fashion… largely make it up for it !
In fact we’ve been dreaming with Emilie about moving here together (well, not ‘together’, more like two friends living the same experience at the same time), and we fantasized about renting a townhouse, meeting new people, and having afternoon teas at least once a week. Yes, this is what I would call a life goal !
For my second look of this Fashion Week (I’ll show you the first a little later), I chose a look that reminded me of this London architecture I love so much : black and white, very graphic. Of course, this coat couldn’t have been more useful as it had been raining non stop this Saturday. I paired it with a ‘sixties inspired’ River Island skirt, a Keep Sake the Label blouse, and my favorite Stuart Weitzman boots.
We shot these pictures with Marie Paola, whom I spent the whole weekend with (more on that later, too 🙂 !), right after the Barbara Casasola show in South Kensington. The neighborhood, the street, the houses, everything felt just right. I hope you like the pictures as much as I do, as they definitely convince me that I will need to move here as soon as I can.
I will keep posting about London for the next few days by the way, before Paris Fashion Week starts !

En écrivant ce post dans l’Eurostar, je ne peux m’empêcher d’être un brin nostalgique. Ce voyage de quatre jours a été incroyable, et je n’ai pas envie de retourner à ma routine quotidienne. Mais j’ai plein de choses à vous dire et à vous montrer !
Bien sûr, c’était la Fashion Week, donc j’y étais pour les shows (et les soirées… !), mais j’ai réussi à bien profiter de Londres, en me promenant, en faisant un peu de shopping, et prenant des photos, en voyant des amis.
Londres, c’est vraiment une ville que j’adore, et je pense vraiment m’y installer prochainement. Certes, Paris me manquerait, mais il y a tellement d’énergie ici, tant de gens cool, que je pense qu’il y est plus aisé d’essayer de nouvelles choses, et de vivre ses rêves. Le temps, c’est un peu l’enfer c’est vrai, mais l’architecture, les belles maisons blanches, les jardins, les cafés, la mode…. sont autant de choses qui compensent largement la météo pourrie.
D’ailleurs, on en parlait avec Emilie, parce qu’on rêve toutes les deux de s’installer ici, et on fantasmait sur le fait de louer une ‘townhouse’ (une maison de ville en gros), de rencontrer de nouvelles personnes, et de prendre un ‘afternoon tea’ au moins une fois par semaine. Oui, c’est ce que j’appelle un objectif de vie.
Pour mon second look de cette Fashion Week (je posterai le premier un peu plus tard), j’ai choisi un look qui me faisait penser à cette architecture londonienne que j’adore : noire et blanc, très graphique. Et puis, ce manteau s’est avéré très utile quand il s’est mis à pleuvoir (et que ce foutu crachin ne s’est pas arrêté de la journée). Je l’ai associé à une jupe River Island très sixties, une blouse Keep Sake the Label, et mes boots préférées Stuart Weitzman.
On a pris ces photos avec Marie-Paola, avec qui j’ai passé le week-end (ça aussi, il faut que je vous le raconte !), juste après le show Barbara Casasola à South Kensington. Le quartier, la rue, les maisons, tout était parfait. J’espère que vous aimez autant les photos que moi, car elles me convainquent définitivement que je devrais m’installer ici.
