Big big news !

You guys, you probably have noticed that I’ve been gone for a long time here. If you follow my Instagram, you probably know why !

So much happened in the last months, it’s crazy ! 

So let’s start by the beginning 🙂 In early March, I began experiencing Covid symptoms… That and the lockdown, I must say I felt pretty shitty the whole month of March. But despite the odds, 2020 will actually be an amazing year for us !

Because not only did we sign for our very first apartment, we also found out that we were gonna have a baby !!!

This was unexpected but we are so happy and over the moon 🙂

But let’s start the apartment first… So I had been telling you that we wanted to buy a place in Paris, but we had such a hard time finding the one place we would fall in love with. The funny thing is, we closed the deal with the actual first apartment we visited ! Back then we loved it but it was booked for someone else, so we tried to visit other places, but that one place always came back in our minds. When the owners told us it was actually available, we didn’t think twice and jumped on the occasion. We signed the pre agreement last month, and in July we will be officially home owners !

The place is perfect and in our favorite neighborhood, so we are super happy. We still have to remodel it, so the months of July and August will be spent in a much smaller place, but it will all be worth it as in September, if all goes well, we will be able to live in our very own apartment.

We are buying every furniture again, as we wanted to start fresh, and decorate the place the best possible way. So exciting !

As for the most important part, the baby 🙂

So at the end of March, I didn’t have any Covid symptoms anymore, yet I felt nauseous and quite bad. I wondered if I was pregnant, but didn’t think I was. When the test came back positive, it was a huge shock yet we just immediately cried out of pure happiness !

So I am currently 20 weeks pregnant, and even though I have some bad symptoms, the pregnancy is going well. We are over the moon, and we can’t wait to meet our baby. Yes we know the gender, but we keep this little secret for ourselves just a little longer 🙂

It’s crazy how a baby changes your whole life, even when it’s not born yet. We start to plan our life according to it, and I am so looking forward to November (my due date). We also canceled our trip to Positano, as with the Covid and everything, I don’t want to take any risk in my pregnancy.

Vous avez sûrement réalisé que cela fait longtemps que je ne suis pas revenue sur le blog… Si vous suivez mon Instagram, vous savez probablement pourquoi !

Tellement de choses se sont produites en peu de longtemps, c’est fou !

Commençons par le début : en mars, j’ai ressenti des symptômes Covid… Entre ça et le confinement, autant dire que mon mois de mars fut bien pourri. Mais malgré tout, 2020 semble être l’année la plus incroyable pour nous !

Parce que non seulement on a signé pour notre appartement, mais surtout on a appris qu’on allait avoir un bébé !

C’était inattendu mais on est sur un petit nuage depuis qu’on le sait 🙂

Mais parlons d’abord de l’appart ! Je vous avais parlé de notre quête pour l’appart parfait, mais on a vraiment eu du mal. Finalement, on a signé pour le tout premier que l’on avait visité ! On l’avait adoré, mais il était réservé pour quelqu’un d’autre. Donc quand on a su qu’il était de retour sur le marché, on a sauté sur l’occasion, et en juillet, on sera officiellement propriétaires !

L’endroit est parfait et dans un quartier que l’on adore. On a prévu des travaux, donc on va passer les mois de juillet et d’août dans le petit appartement parisien de ma maman, et si tout va bien, dès septembre, on emménage dans notre appartement !

On va acheter tous les meubles, histoire de tout agencer tel qu’on le souhaite, donc c’est génial de pouvoir tout faire de A à Z !

Et pour la plus belle des nouvelles, le bébé 🙂

Fin mars, je n’avais plus de symptômes de Covid, mais je me sentais nauséeuse et pas au top. J’ai fait un test, sans imaginer qu’il puisse être positif. Ce fut un vrai choc, mais on a immédiatement pleuré de joie !

Je suis en enceinte de cinq mois, et même si j’ai quelques symptômes désagréables, la grossesse se passe au top ! On est tellement heureux, et on a hâte de rencontrer notre petit baby 🙂 On connaît son sexe, mais on garde le secret pour nous deux encore un peu !

C’est fou comme un bébé change votre vie, même quand il n’est pas encore né ! On fait tous nos plans selon lui/elle, et je compte les jours jusqu’à la naissance prévue, en novembre. On a aussi annulé notre voyage à Positano, histoire de ne pas prendre de risque à voyager…

En tout cas, je serai de retour ici rapidement, et j’espère que vous avez apprécié ces life updates !
